June’s over? Ju-lying. The Half-time analysis.

It is hard to believe it has been six months since the clock tolled 12.01 a.m on January 1st, 2019. 26 weeks, 182 days, 4380 hours. If we are lucky, this and many more minutes are ahead of us. In most sporting events, half-time is a moment for reflection and projection. Not everyone is fortunate enough to get the chance to pursue their goals every day. I think July is the perfect month to consult your gameplan and evaluate whether it has been effective thus far. It is also the ideal time to visualise where you see yourself at the end of this year and how you are going to get there.

We think that we only see with our glorious globular organs of sight 👁👁
but it is also important to tap into the mind’s eye🧠👁. The moment the light hits the retina the process of sight begins, however, when you allow the musings of your mind to materialize, it is equally enlightening.

Create a vision board and transfer your thoughts onto a page. It will serve as a daily reminder as to why you set these goals in the first place. You can put whatever you want on this board, the first one I made featured quotes and an aspirational abs photo thanks to Kayla Itsines😍. While I do love feeling toned, I also love cheese🧀 so I am more about balance now. For me, the holistic benefit of exercise is most important, anything after that is a body benefitting bonus. 💪🏼

How often do you pause to appreciate your life and everyone and everything in it?
If you’re looking for a little starter to help you pursue your goals this planner comes highly recommended. You begin by analyzing why you have chosen these particular goals. What is it that drives you and how will you feel when you reach your destination? The morning section involves you writing your gratitude post,  setting micro-goals to keep you on track and creating an action plan for every day. In the evening, you reflect on the successes and struggles of the previous 12 hours. You then evaluate your day by writing your final thoughts. Every ten days you write a review of your goal-getting ability. Set time aside to track your thoughts because these are what will stir you further into action. It is also useful to identify the things that might thwart you from hitting your targets.

If you’re struggling to set goals or looking for inspiration, podcasts provide powerful injections of perspective. Recently, I have been listening to The Good Glow with Georgie Crawford and Give Me Strength with Alice Liveing. I have literally been enthralled by the stories shared with these women as they they have sailed through my ear canal. Fierce females whose ability to overcome adversity and achieve success can only leave an indelible mark on the listener.

26 weeks, 182 days, 4380 hours, six months. Try to make them count, for yourself and for the ones who don't get the chance. Life is not a given, it's a gift, unwrap your potential every day.
